Camera

The posting doesn't show the pictures to the best of their view, however, if you can see, the tulips actually have drops of water on them from the snow, and in the picture of the snow flying, it actually caught the snow in mid flight! I love that it caught Ben in mid movement also! If you double click on the picture it should make a closeup. If you look at the baseball you may even be able to see the stitching on the baseball.

Ok, so I am way behind on updating my blog... :)

Let's see...

Joy: Hockey finished in March, she did great and can't wait to play for Squirt level this year! She has been playing 3X3 hockey and isn't real happy with it, but at least it's ice time and she loves ice time! It's hard to believe school will be out soon and Joy will be in 4th GRADE! How did that happen???? Her class is going to the aquarium this week and I get to go with them! :)

Ben: is playing baseball again this year, I will post more photos of it all. Marc is the head coach and I am the team manager. It's been fun, but fortunately almost over. They actually tied their last two games, which was against a bunch of 2nd graders! Ben goes on to 2nd grade this year, WOW! for the most part he does really well! Turns out he plays baseball as a lefty much beter than a righty!

Marc: Had a nice weekend in the hospital to have a couple of stents installed in him and is almost done with cardio rehab. That has been fun... NOT!

Me: Other than I still love my new job, taking care of the kids, the cats, dog and rat (Who now belongs to Joy, Ben got tired of him...) I have a new camera that I LOVE!!! The other hockey mom at work showed me hers and I played with it a little while... I will post some pictures to show you what it can do! It's a Nikon D70. I need another lens to go with it, but it is awesome already!!!

I will post more later!

Latest Movie...

We loved watching the movie "The Game Plan"! It is so great!!! The Rock does an awesome job!
The little girl who stars in the movie is already well on her way to a career in acting! She is extremely talented.

What's new?

Marc:
We are all rollerblading now, even Marc! This is his newest hobby! :) Joy and I still enjoy ice skating more, but we go with Marc and Ben for family time.

Joy:
Joy received the PHD award for her team this month!!!! Pride, Hustle and Desire! She was so tickled and so were we! She is doing great with hockey and looks like she wants to continue!

There is the possibility that Joy may get to participate in 2 tournaments in March, we are waiting to see if it happens still.

Almost got away with out mentioning it... Joy is a closet "girl" now and is in "love" with a boy in her class named Jonathan... She has taken to writting Joy + Jonathan on paper around the house! Even brought home a coloring sheet from daycare that has a boy and a girl in a dress that she wrote Joy + Jonathan on and colored it in! She is VERY mature for 8! She will dress like a girl when no one else can see it! She got her ears pierced and wants to wear makeup sometimes.
Ben:
Ben is about to turn 7!!! We are getting ready for his birthday party and upcoming baseball season. He is doing awesome at rollerblading and enjoys it!

He has come such a long way in such a short time! He's extremely smart! Aces his spelling tests no problem in school!

Crystal:
Where to begin... I still love my new job! Imagine, working 7-3:30 M-F 20 minutes from home and all of us have kids, so they understand if I have to leave early or if I am out! One of the ladies I work with is another "hockey mom" and is really nice! The other two I really like also!. Work may be moving even closer to home! :D It would cut off almost 10 more minutes!

In the last month I have lost 10 pounds! :D

Latest ramblings of happenings! LOL

This is Joy and the rock wall... Ben asked me to buy him a tractor at Sears last time we were there. LOL

Let's see, I got the LG Cherry Chocolate phone... LOVE IT! :D

So this past Saturday morning at 7:30am... when I was so comfortably sleeping in... I hear all of a sudden... MOM! TUESDAY THE 4TH OF OCTOBER RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER COMES OUT! Can you say, WHO CARES, when you are trying to sleep in for once? LOL! Poor kids!

JOY:
Joy's birthday is in a couple of weeks. She gets to have it at the ice rink. She can't wait for hockey to start! In the next week or so we will see practices start up.

Joy has kept her room clean for 2 weeks now! WOW!

When we went to the Evergreen state fair Joy got to climb the climbing wall... She scaled it in about a minute! She had a hard time starting down at first, but did a great job!

She is doing much better in reading now and has found a new interest... Dragons! I am really proud of her!
BEN:
Who remembers the old Wonder Woman series with Linda Carter???
I introduced the kids to the show thanks to Netflix today... ROFLMAO!!!!
Ben's first comment after watching where she first shows up as Wonder Woman, top of his voice mind you.... "MOM!!! I HAVE A CRUSH ON WONDER WOMAN!" I remember watching it as a little kid, never thinking how women's lib and sexist this show was!

Ben has kept his room CLEAN for a month now! His reward you ask??? Rodney! Rodney is a rat, named after Rodney from Flushed Away! Ben drew this adorable picture of Rodney in his cage and even drew the bars on the cage. Then proceeded to draw little poops, brown of course! He said, "My brain told me poop is brown, so I colored it brown!"

I had to ask his first grade teacher for a list of spelling words to occupy him while Joy does her third grade spelling words... catch this... he tells her when she spells her words wrong! Even worse, he tries to do her math for her! I don't think the teachers really believe me about him, that kid is something else! He reads ahead of most 1st graders and already puts inflection in his voice when he reads.
I'm going to see if I can sneak off to bed! Night! :D
