Latest ramblings of happenings! LOL

This is Joy and the rock wall... Ben asked me to buy him a tractor at Sears last time we were there. LOL

Let's see, I got the LG Cherry Chocolate phone... LOVE IT! :D

So this past Saturday morning at 7:30am... when I was so comfortably sleeping in... I hear all of a sudden... MOM! TUESDAY THE 4TH OF OCTOBER RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER COMES OUT! Can you say, WHO CARES, when you are trying to sleep in for once? LOL! Poor kids!

JOY:
Joy's birthday is in a couple of weeks. She gets to have it at the ice rink. She can't wait for hockey to start! In the next week or so we will see practices start up.

Joy has kept her room clean for 2 weeks now! WOW!

When we went to the Evergreen state fair Joy got to climb the climbing wall... She scaled it in about a minute! She had a hard time starting down at first, but did a great job!

She is doing much better in reading now and has found a new interest... Dragons! I am really proud of her!
BEN:
Who remembers the old Wonder Woman series with Linda Carter???
I introduced the kids to the show thanks to Netflix today... ROFLMAO!!!!
Ben's first comment after watching where she first shows up as Wonder Woman, top of his voice mind you.... "MOM!!! I HAVE A CRUSH ON WONDER WOMAN!" I remember watching it as a little kid, never thinking how women's lib and sexist this show was!

Ben has kept his room CLEAN for a month now! His reward you ask??? Rodney! Rodney is a rat, named after Rodney from Flushed Away! Ben drew this adorable picture of Rodney in his cage and even drew the bars on the cage. Then proceeded to draw little poops, brown of course! He said, "My brain told me poop is brown, so I colored it brown!"

I had to ask his first grade teacher for a list of spelling words to occupy him while Joy does her third grade spelling words... catch this... he tells her when she spells her words wrong! Even worse, he tries to do her math for her! I don't think the teachers really believe me about him, that kid is something else! He reads ahead of most 1st graders and already puts inflection in his voice when he reads.
I'm going to see if I can sneak off to bed! Night! :D

What is up this week...

Ok, so I have given in and am getting the new LG Black Cherry Chocolate phone! Jesica let me see her's one to many times and I gave in ;P

Monday: I have a job interview. If my boss sees the blog I'm in deep kimchee!
Tuesday: I will hopefully hear back from the interview last week.
Wednesday: Not a lot going on yet, hopefully will stay that way!
Thursday: Ben has speech therapy and Joy has her reading class. I think that this class has been extremely good for her. I know it has made me make her read!
Friday: pizza and movie night!
Saturday: clean the house!

We have to start looking into refinancing the house again! Ugh! What a pain!

If you have asked how it's been lately, hope these posts help to update you! :)

Harlicoon, ain't he a doozie?

Can you say, Harlicoon? Here is a picture of my baby!!!! He is HUGE now. I have to get him shaved again and then post a picture of that too! We think I am alergic to him now bacause I keep getting itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, etc. but if he is shaved I don't have as much of a problem. :) Love my kitty!!! Marc says he knows there is no way I am giving up the cat! LOL

Ok, so I finally got back to the blog... Not much been going on unless you count the trip to Kansas City, MO for work. Oh did I mention the delay at the airport, 8 hours, or the lost luggage? 4 days = a very LONG trip! Good news is I got to see some of my favorite state reps!

This past weekend was the RinkRats play day again. The kids loved it! Got lots of pics! Christian got to go out and play with Joy and they both had lots of fun!

Ratatouille... the movie!

We loved Ratatouille! It is just something great to see. Joy's comment as we walked out of the movie theatre was..." Mom, I think the message from the movie is that sometimes you have to follow your own path in life..." Hello!!! From a 7 year old!

May 19th

So last night we got two tanks ready for new seamonkeys. Do you remember them? The kids love them, oh wait, so do I!!! :D They are fun to watch. I have them in the windowsill in the kitchen so that I can watch them as I do dishes. Today Ben has a baseball game. I love being able to be out helping the team. I guess it is a good thing that only a few of the other parents help with the team, because that means I get to help more! :)

I found the best recipe for Cherry Pie! Take two Pillsbury rolled pie crusts, a pie filling in a can and add some frozen black cherries, bake it, let it cool and then top with Land-o-lakes Heavy whipped cream. It is fabulous and easy! I just wish I had gotten more of it! Joy and Marc ate most of it! LOL

I finally decided to clean out my scrapbooking inventory and sent out an email to the people I know who like to scrapbook too. Hopefully I can sell off most of it. Then it's on to the skin care and makeup items from the company that I can't name online because they would think it is advertising their name on the internet... You would think that as an INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT they would want you to use their name as it is on all their products! I hear a yardsale calling for it so I can sell it! :D

But seriously, I should get a yardsale together. I still have a lot of candle things that I bought and some of the kids clothes should go, even some of my clothes I can't wear any more. I'd consider ebay, it's just too much of a hassle right now. Between Joy's skating, Ben's baseball, Marc's work schedule, my work schedule and the opportunities that I am pursuing it's pretty hectic.

What else, oh Marc's living history event had to be cancelled this weekend. He is bummed about it, but at least he will get to go to both of Ben's baseball games this weekend, and get some things done around the house!

My first blog...

Harli is fat and sassy as usual!

So it is Friday, May 18th. We took the kids to see Spiderman 3 this afternoon. Talk about Action-packed! The kids loved it, and it had some good messages throughout the movie, but it was a little overwhelming! We will see it again I am sure!
